Livestock Information (LI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mohammed Rahman as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from 1st May 2025. Mohammed has been working with LI as Interim Finance Director since October last year and has made a significant impact on streamlining processes and identifying cost saving opportunities for the organisation.

Mohammed has substantial experience working in finance across multiple sectors and industries in the UK, having previously held CFO and FD roles. This strategic addition to the leadership team underscores LI’s commitment to financial excellence and providing value for money for its government sponsor, Defra.

As CFO, Mohammed will lead LI’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll and expenses as well as working with counterparts across Defra to secure future funding and support the organisation’s strategic priorities. He will also lead the commercial, governance, risk, assurance and compliance functions ensuring LI has robust central processes to support the organisation’s objectives from the centre and meet LI’s corporate responsibilities.
